A key feature in any farm management software is the ability to track input expenses.
This is a simple feature until you start to have different overhead expeneses for each crop Today’s farm often has crop-specifc equipment whose cost should be allocated solely to that crop. At the end of the day the enterprise as a whole needs to be profitable but to acheive that we need to be able to track and optimize crop-by-crop profitability.
Our goal is to make powerful AND user-friendly farm financial management software. We believe strongly that a numbers-based, profit-focused approach to farm management is a key to success (see this blog post for an example). To accomplish this, a producer needs to have the proper tools. HarvestProfit is a suite of tools that’s sole goal is the financial success of our users.
This input tracking feature is not groundbreaking. But it is an easy-to-use feature that’s a building block for farm financial analysis. Check out the video below to learn more.
